Customers
The activities of GTS are governed by a number of principles, the most important of which is to contribute at all times to a smoothly operating free gas market. All customers are treated equally (non-discriminatory, objective, and reasonable). When providing access to the system, GTS is committed to pursuing openness and transparency. The available capacity at most entry and exit points is therefore published on the Internet. Economic efficiency is a key priority in all its GTS´ decisions. GTS naturally takes into account the physical limitations of the transport network when making these decisions. The customers of GTS can be divided into two groups: shippers and end users.
Recognition
Not everyone is authorised to use the transport system of GTS. Only those who are recognised by GTS as ´shippers´ are allowed to contract transport services. To acquire this status, a party has to accept the standard GTS terms and conditions governing transport, together with the accompanying appendices. These terms and conditions can be found in the ´Transmission Service Conditions´ (TSC). The shipper must also be creditworthy or else must be able to provide additional financial guarantees. There are also special rules governing business communication between the shipper and GTS. The parties have to be able to use an electronic messaging system to communicate. GTS tests and certifies the operational use of the shippers´ messaging system.
